Katya & Slava Sergiev

   Arguably, one of the the most beautiful couples to ever grace the dance floor, Katya & Slava have earned bragging rights for their accomplishments in the competition world which include the following:

Sergiev Ballroom Dancing Baltimore

  • Former Undefeated Standard, Latin and Ten-Dance Champions of Belarus

  • Winners of more than 30 professional competitions in the USA and the UK

  • US National Professional Rising Star Standard Couple of the Year 2000

  • US National Professional Rising Star Champions in year 2001

  • Five times 3rd Place winners at US National Professional Ten-Dance Championships

  • Former US representatives to the Professional World Ten-Dance Championships

  • Professional World Ten-Dance Championship semi-finalists in Stuttgart, Germany in 2002

  • Winner of Dance and Fashion Championship in Professional Standard division in London, UK

  • US National Professional Classic Show Dance, 3rd place Winners in 2008

   While they lived in their hometown of Belarus, they gave private lessons as well as group classes to children and adults in Minsk and other Belarusian cities.  Their move to the United States in December, 1995 was brought about because of the invitation of David and Glenis Dee-Creger to work in their studio in Baltimore, Maryland.

   In 1999, Slava and Katya, became co-owners of Atlantic Ballroom in Towson, MD where they successfully continued to teach private and group lessons. After a few years, they made the decision to go on their own.  It was at this time that they began their association with The Promenade. They specialize in International Standard, International Latin, American Smooth, American Rhythm and Show Dance.
